Return to index of stories...
New Hampshire novelist Ernest Hebert has long been known for his
realistic stories about modern, working class life here in New England -
until last year, that is, when his latest novel, "The Old
American" was published.
Producer-writer Paul Lally traveled to Dartmouth College - where Ernie
teaches - to find out just why HE decided to travel back in time to the
18th century- to write about Americans who used to live - right here in
New Hampshire.

And now we turn our attention from the past to the present. Producer Chip Neal visited an exhibit at Dartmouth's Hood Museum. The show is called Reservation X and showcases the work of 7 native american artists from the United States and Canada. They explore what life is like for them in America today. By the way you will notice French subtitles on the interviews with the artists, that video came to us courtesy of the Canadian Museum of Civilization who organized the exhibit.

This Thanksgiving - as we gather with family and friends - some of us will probably take a few minutes to reflect on all that we're thankful for. Recently, videographers Steve GIordani and Todd Ziemack stopped in where some folks were eating pre-holiday meals to get their thoughts on the holiday and its meaning.
